    A solo exhibition of Colombian-born, Norway-based artist Pedro Gomez-Egana is now on show at YARAT Contemporary Art Space. The exhibition, entitled Sleipnir, takes its cue from adventurer Thor Heyerdahl's contentious theory that the Norse god Odin was in fact a real person, who migrated to Scandinavia from Azerbaijan.

    YARAT Contemporary Art Space presents a solo exhibition of Georgian artist Vajiko Chachkhiani. Presenting a newly commissioned body of work the show synthesises different media used by the artist in the past to create an immersive universe of Chachkhiani’s interest in radically tackling ideas of myth, tradition and heritage.

    At this years International conference of beekeepers representatives from Germany, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and Georgia will come to share their experience with local beekeepers. The representatives of relevant government agencies, public associations and businessmen will also attend the event. The conference will discuss issues of preventing bee diseases, increasing the yield in beekeeping, supplying beekeeper products to local and foreign markets.

    This February Baku will enjoy the world-famous opera, La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. The performance will be conducted by the chief conductor and musical director of the theater, honored artist of Azerbaijan Eyyub Guliyev.
