    Some 60 photos are demonstrated at the exhibition. Photos shot by Reza Deghati in different years in Azerbaijan, France, Egypt, Turkey, China, Afghanistan etc. are on display. These photos describe stories and feelings of people belonging to different cultures and destinies in various countries. Works displayed in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center invite visitors to take a visual and artistic journey to humankind.

    Celebrating the upcoming centennial anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, Gazelli Art House Baku will host a group exhibition of key artists from Azerbaijan, aiming to re-actualise the historical memory within a contemporary discourse. New works will be produced as a response to imagery sourced from the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan and the National Archive Department. Artists will include Rashad Alakbarov, Chingiz Babayev, Irina Eldarova, Farhad Farzaliyev, Orkhan Garayev amongst others.

    YARAT Contemporary Art Space, for the first time presents an exhibition of works by leading Azerbaijani painters Mikayil Abdullayev, Rasim Babayev, Sattar Bahlulzade, Gennady Brijatyuk, Nadir Abdurahmanov, Kamal Ahmed, Ujal Hagverdiyev, Igor Zhuk, Javad Mirjavadov, Boyukagha Mirzazade, Ashraf Murad, Toghrul Narimanbekov, Nadir Gasimov, Eldar Gurban, Maral Rahmanzade, Altay Sadigzade, Ogtay Sadigzade, Tahir Salahov, Khalida Safarova, Mahmud Taghiyev, Taghi Taghiyev, Farhad Khalilov, Gayyur Yunus at the Museum of XX-XXI Century Azerbaijani Painting.

    Fashion Habitat, presented by the Alexandre Vassiliev Foundation, illustrates the relationship between fashion and nature. The exhibition will include up to 400 pieces related to the 18th-21st-century garments and accessories, such as footwear, headwear, handbags, jewelery, etc. It will comprise of several sections including themes of the jungle, savannah, seaside area, rainforests, and other natural habitats. The show is also to include samples from worldwide famous brands like Paco Rabanne, Christian Dior, Elsa Schiaparelli, Lanvin, Givenchy, Thierry Mugler. Personal items of Bettina Graziani or an American actress Shirley MacLaine will also be on display.

    Talented artists Amrulla Israfilov, Aida Mahmudova, Niyaz Najafov, Eldar Gurbanov, Sabina Shikhlinskaya, Mir Nadir Zeynalov will showcase their works inspired by human body and the landscape. The exhibition shows landscapes, in which nature obtains human features and the human body is objectified creating a perception that is detached from any gender identification dissolving into earthly forms and colours.

    The 33rd World Conference of the International Society for Music Education ( ISME) will be held in Baku. The conference will take place in the Heydar Aliyev Palace, the Baku Musical Academy and the Azerbaijan National Conservatory from July 15-20.

    On September 18, National Music Day in Azerbaijan, musical events will be held in several cities across Azerbaijan and whilst the main ceremony will take place in Baku as part of Uzeyir Hajibeyov's International Music Festival.

    This year, Apple Festival will be held in Azerbaijan's northern region of Guba. Apple is a symbol of Guba, where almost everything is devoted to this juicy fruit. The people of Guba claim that there are more than 40 different varieties of apples there. The annual festival attracts visitors from across the country, while foreign travelers also try to catch up this colorful and ‘tasty’ event. Dozens of farmers and gardeners will bring their best apples to compete in various competitions, such as the biggest apple or the most delicious apple jam.

    Azerbaijani carpets, which were proclaimed a Masterpiece of Intangible Heritage by UNESCO in 2010, are renowned worldwide for their beautiful designs and vivid colors. Within the framework of the Festival, the history and stages of the development of carpet weaving in the region will be presented to the guests. It will also be possible to purchase carpets at the event.
