    Some 60 photos are demonstrated at the exhibition. Photos shot by Reza Deghati in different years in Azerbaijan, France, Egypt, Turkey, China, Afghanistan etc. are on display. These photos describe stories and feelings of people belonging to different cultures and destinies in various countries. Works displayed in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center invite visitors to take a visual and artistic journey to humankind.

    YARAT Contemporary Art Space, for the first time presents an exhibition of works by leading Azerbaijani painters Mikayil Abdullayev, Rasim Babayev, Sattar Bahlulzade, Gennady Brijatyuk, Nadir Abdurahmanov, Kamal Ahmed, Ujal Hagverdiyev, Igor Zhuk, Javad Mirjavadov, Boyukagha Mirzazade, Ashraf Murad, Toghrul Narimanbekov, Nadir Gasimov, Eldar Gurban, Maral Rahmanzade, Altay Sadigzade, Ogtay Sadigzade, Tahir Salahov, Khalida Safarova, Mahmud Taghiyev, Taghi Taghiyev, Farhad Khalilov, Gayyur Yunus at the Museum of XX-XXI Century Azerbaijani Painting.

    Fashion Habitat, presented by the Alexandre Vassiliev Foundation, illustrates the relationship between fashion and nature. The exhibition will include up to 400 pieces related to the 18th-21st-century garments and accessories, such as footwear, headwear, handbags, jewelery, etc. It will comprise of several sections including themes of the jungle, savannah, seaside area, rainforests, and other natural habitats. The show is also to include samples from worldwide famous brands like Paco Rabanne, Christian Dior, Elsa Schiaparelli, Lanvin, Givenchy, Thierry Mugler. Personal items of Bettina Graziani or an American actress Shirley MacLaine will also be on display.

  • 03 August 2018 - 28 September 2018Landmark Hotel, Baku

    Every Friday from August 3rd to September 28th 2018, an opportunity to see some of the greatest films from French cinema, Mon Cinema Français, as part of a new project that has been launched by the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, the French Institute and the Landmark Hotel Baku alongside Azerbaijan’s favourite artists. Weekly screenings offer the opportunity for movie lovers to see some much loved French films.

  • 25 September 2018 - 06 October 2018Art Tower Gallery, Baku

    The exhibition will feature works by four Peruvian artists, Hugo Suyo Medina, Evaristo Cayo, Guzman Emilio Huanca Yanariko and Darwin Chavezin, who reflect on the natural splendor of the Andean mountains. The exhibition has been co-organized by the embassy of Peru to Azerbaijan, the State Historical-Architectural Reserve of Icherisheher, the Ministry of Culture and the Arts Council Azerbaijan.

    A closing ceremony of the 10th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival will be held at Heydar Aliyev Center. The concert program will feature the People's Artist of Russia, the State Prize laureate, violoncellist Sergei Roldugin, the laureate of international competitions, the famous violinist Pavel Milyukov and the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli under the direction of the Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, Eyyub Guliyev.

  • 28 September 2018International Mugham Centre and Institute of Folklore

    In a joint project the International Mugham Centre and the Institute of Folklore will host a series of Dastan concerts. Dastan unites poetry and prose and is a part of Azerbaijani tradition. Azerbaijani ashrugs including Kiçik Rza will be performing.

    An exhibition dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company at Baku Museum Center will include works by 100 young Azerbaijani artists, sculptors and graphic artists. Artworks reflect the beauty of the Caspian Sea and the activities of the shipping company.

    This year, Apple Festival will be held in Azerbaijan's northern region of Guba. Apple is a symbol of Guba, where almost everything is devoted to this juicy fruit. The people of Guba claim that there are more than 40 different varieties of apples there. The annual festival attracts visitors from across the country, while foreign travelers also try to catch up this colorful and ‘tasty’ event. Dozens of farmers and gardeners will bring their best apples to compete in various competitions, such as the biggest apple or the most delicious apple jam.

    Azerbaijani carpets, which were proclaimed a Masterpiece of Intangible Heritage by UNESCO in 2010, are renowned worldwide for their beautiful designs and vivid colors. Within the framework of the Festival, the history and stages of the development of carpet weaving in the region will be presented to the guests. It will also be possible to purchase carpets at the event.

    This October, a scientific symposium will be held with the participation of researchers of folk songs. During the festival, an Ensemble of Folk Instruments, concerts, jazz and improvisation with be on offer to guests.

  • 24 October 2018 - 31 October 2018Art Tower Gallery, Baku

    As part of this years Festival of Decorative and Applied Arts, Azerbaijani artist Farida Garayeva will open an exhibition of her work on October 24. 20 works have been created especially for the show including Azerbaijani carpets in the works of world famous artists.

    The Festival of Decorative and Applied Arts will showcase the traditions of Azerbaijan through a presentation of various types of arts and crafts and to promote the development of national art and to shine a light on new talent. Samples of decorative and applied art including batik, tapestry, ceramics, stained glass, jewelry and carpets will be showcased at the festival.

    The Pomegranate Festival is an annual cultural festival that is held in Goychay, Azerbaijan. The festival features Azerbaijani fruit-cuisine mainly the pomegranates from Goychay. At the festival, a parade will be held with involving Azerbaijani dances and music. There will also be a prize awarded for the biggest pomegranate.

    Azerbaijan is a major global producer and exporter of Persimmon. The Second International Persimmon Festival will be held in the north-western region of Balakan, featuring a range of products made from persimmons, performances and exhibitions.

    Serving as a platform for communication, education, exchange of knowledge and experience, M.A.P. Festival - an acronym for music, art and performance - combines different forms of theatre to help audiences explore a wide range of contemporary theatrical forms. The festival presents 16 performances by theatre companies from Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Russia and the United Kingdom.

    The Vienna Strauss Festival orchestra returns this year, for the third time to perform. Led by the renowned violinist Peter Guth the founder and artistic director of the orchestra, the upcoming concert will feature pieces by famous classical Viennese composers including Johann Strauss.

  • 25 May 2019Baku Olympic Stadium

    Baku Olympic Stadium will host the highly anticipated UEFA Europa League 2019 Final. Recognised as the best new stadium in the world, with a seating capacity of  69,870, the event will attract football fans from around the world to the heart of Azerbaijan.
