    A solo exhibition of Colombian-born, Norway-based artist Pedro Gomez-Egana is now on show at YARAT Contemporary Art Space. The exhibition, entitled Sleipnir, takes its cue from adventurer Thor Heyerdahl's contentious theory that the Norse god Odin was in fact a real person, who migrated to Scandinavia from Azerbaijan.

    YARAT Contemporary Art Space presents a solo exhibition of Georgian artist Vajiko Chachkhiani. Presenting a newly commissioned body of work the show synthesises different media used by the artist in the past to create an immersive universe of Chachkhiani’s interest in radically tackling ideas of myth, tradition and heritage.

    The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum will host an exhibition of handmade Turkmen carpets, national jewellery and textile products of Turkmenistan this February. The exhibition will feature Turkmen pure wool pile hand-made carpets of various colours, ornaments and patterns.

  • 27 March 2019Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater, Baku

    The famous Israeli singer Shimon Sibony will perform for the first time in Baku at the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater this March. The concert program will feature well-known works by Giovanni Capurro, Osvaldo Farres, Luciano Pavarotti, Enrico Caruso and many others. Tickets can be purchased at the theater and vendors in Baku.

    Kazakh vocal group Mezzo will give a concert at the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall on April 10. The event will be held with the support of the Kazakh embassy to Azerbaijan and Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.

    Baku Olympic Stadium will host the highly anticipated UEFA Europa League 2019 Final. Recognised as the best new stadium in the world, with a seating capacity of  69,870, the event will attract football fans from around the world to the heart of Azerbaijan.
